Presentation of Mateo Vilagrasa’s «Heteronymous Notebooks and Books» at the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs of Lérida

The presentation of Heteronymous Notebooks and Books consisted of an exhibition of his original artist’s books, travel notebooks and two large-format canvases. The catalog of the exhibition was also presented by Francesc Miralles together with Rafael Corral and Carles Sanuy. The event took place in the Gothic Room of the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs. In it the vital and artistic journey of the creator himself is narrated: his writing, stories, notebooks and books transcend their discursive base to become a work of art in itself.

During the opening of the exhibition,  Rafael Argullol, writer, philosopher and essayist presented the two volumes of Book of books, which respectively bring together 17 + 19 original artist books and Vilagrasa’s writings, and that contain the essence of both the artist’s pictorial and intellectual work.
